Justin Degutis BSc, MCSP
(CSP and HCPC registered)
I am the owner and lead clinician of Just In Time Physiotherapy. Also, I work as a Senior MSK Physiotherapist within NHS. I have gained my degree at Glasgow Caledonian University. Furthermore, this was a four-year course after which I have also completed NHS rotations on a variety of wards. After that, I kept developing my skills and knowledge within the Neuromusculoskeletal and Orthopaedic fields, working closely with consultants and Extended Scope Practitioners. In the world of medicine, there is constant development. Thus I seek to provide my patients with the most effective and up-to-date treatment options.
I have extensive experience working with patients who have neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Every one of my patients receives a thorough examination and treatment specific to his/ her complaint. Further, I always focus on fixing the root cause of your symptoms and not just the symptoms themselves. My approach is a combination of hands-on treatment and corrective exercise. Sometimes on a very rare occasion, I may suggest that physiotherapy is not an appropriate route for you. However, when this happens, it is always a thoroughly justified decision with a clear plan of action to rule out any medical concerns (e.g. tumours, fractures, undiagnosed neurological conditions, etc.). Also, I can often refer you to the appropriate specialist or for a scan.
Why a mobile physiotherapy service?
The reason I have started a mobile physiotherapy clinic is that it's a great way to provide treatment to people in their own homes and save them time. Also, this is an ideal option for people who have a disability and restricted access to the community. The areas that I operate in are mostly Colchester, Basildon, Wickford, Brentwood, and Billericay. Don't worry if you're outside of these areas and just give me a call to discuss!
Interesting fact: I have been training and competing in martial arts (Olympic wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu) since the age of ten and having rehab for my injuries is what has inspired me to become a physiotherapist. I found it amazing that the majority of injuries and neuromusculoskeletal conditions can be treated without the use of drugs or surgeries!
